Villa Marie Reconstruction Street Project

Posted: Date 9/02/2010 The relocating of the manhole lids on St. Charles Drive will not be done until Tuesday, September 7, 2010 and Paving will start on St. Charles Drive on 09/08/10. We will be placing a oil prime with a sand coating on the soil cement work we hope will be done on Friday (inner loop) because we will not be able to water cure that area during this (forecast non rain) holiday weekend.

Posted: Date 9/02/2010 Because of the rain and wet conditions Dunn has canceled work for Thursday, September 2, 2010. Please pushed back your schedule another working day back. Dunn hopes to work on the soil cement in the inner loop of the Subdivision (St. Rose & St. Anthony Drives and St. Charles Drive from Bachman Lane to a little pass St. Rose Drive) and will start profiling the Cul-de-sacs and St. Charles Drive and may start relocating the manhole lids on St. Charles Drive on Friday, September 3, 2010. We apologize for any inconvenience that the weather and work has cause on to your lives this past week.

Attention: Date 9/01/2010 Dunn has canceled work for the 9/01/10 because of rain. So, the schedule has been pushed back another day. Dunn hopes to work on 9/02/10 weather permitting. Scheduled event will be soil cement in the inner loop of the Subdivision (St. Rose & St. Anthony Drives and St. Charles Dr. from Bachman Ln to a little pass St. Rose Dr.) and profiling the Cul-de-sacs and St. Charles Dr.

Attention: Date 8/24/2010 Dunn has informed us that their milling machine will be delayed by a day. The Pulverize schedule is as schedule. But all other stages will be set back by one day. The first day of removal will be on Friday 8/27 and the first day of Soil Cement will start on Monday 8/30. Profile Process first day will be 9/01 and the first day of Paving will start on 9/03. Sorry about the change.

Dunn Company and Charles Mahoney Company are starting a street reconstruction project in the Eastern half of the Villa Marie Subdivisions; streets included in project are St. John Dr., St. Charles Dr., St. Anthony Dr. and St. Rose Dr. The project is schedule to start on Wednesday, August 25th at 7:00 a.m. (Weather Permitting)

Godfrey is one of Illinois' newest municipalities. Located approximately 35 miles north of St. Louis, the Village was incorporated in 1991 as a result of a vote by the residents.

While the Village of Godfrey is one of Illinois' newest municipalities, it is also one of its largest communities. At over 36 square miles, the Village of Godfrey is the eighth largest municipality in terms of geographic area in the State of Illinois.

The Village of Godfrey has developed as a primarily residential community, consisting of a population of approximately 16,800. Much of the Village of Godfrey remains devoted to agricultural uses or remains in a natural state.

The Village of Godfrey has been rapidly developing in recent years. With the completion of ongoing highway projects, including the anticipated completion of Illinois Route 255, additional explosive growth is anticipated. Soon, the Village of Godfrey will see not only ongoing residential growth, but commercial development as well.

Burning Regulations within the Village of Godfrey

March, April, May, October, November and December residents may burn only landscape waste such as leaves, bush or branches on Wednesday and Saturday only between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. All fires must be supervised at all times. Fires must also be out by 3:00 p.m. and not smoking after 3:00 p.m.

The U.S. Census counts every resident in the United States, and is required by the Constitution to take place every 10 years.

All residents of the United States must be counted. This includes people of all ages, races, ethnic groups, citizens and non-citizens.

Every 10 years, and the next census occurs in 2010. Census questionnaires will be mailed or delivered to every household in the United States in March 2010. The questions ask you to provide information that is accurate for your household as of April 1, 2010.
