Notice of Temporary Lane Closures on North Alby
Starting on Monday, August 31, 2026, weather permitting, Stutz Excavating will be starting on a project on North Alby that will involve concrete patching. The work will be between the Alton City limits of North Alby (just south of Asbury Village) to Humbert Road. This is a Village of Godfrey project with Stutz Excavating being the winning bid contractor for the project. Beside concrete patching the contractor will also replace side street entrances, place a bus stop pad along with a signalized crosswalk at the bus stop pad. After the concrete patching, the entire N. Alby, in this project location, will be overlay with asphalt. Traffic notice: One lane will be closed (during working hours) and flaggers will be used to direct through traffic around the project site. The project will take several months to be completed weather permitting.
