A hard paper copy of the Village of Godfrey Zoning Map is available in the Village Clerk’s office for a fee.  You may also visit the Village Engineer Section of the Village of Godfrey website under the map link to view a pdf file of the current zoning map.

The Village of Godfrey requires a plat be prepared when dividing any property.  There are several exceptions to this requirement.  It would be best to contact the Village Engineer or Building and Zoning Administrator to discuss such a matter in person.

Call the Public Works Department at (618) 466-3133.  The Public Works Department is responsible for the maintenance of all Village Streets.

The Village of Godfrey does not locate property pins or lines.  The Village suggests that homeowners contact a Professional Land Surveyor for such services.

Who do I call when sanitary sewage is backing up in my basement?2021-04-09T09:36:35-05:00

The Sanitary Sewer system was sold to Illinois American Water as of November 1, 2019.  All sanitary sewer issue are to be handle by Illinois American Water.  For all sanitary sewer related questions, please call 1-800-422-2782.  Illinois American Water is responsible for the maintenance and billing, for all sanitary sewer usage after November 1, 2019, of the sanitary sewer system.

Call the Public Works Department at (618) 466-3133.  The Public Works Department is responsible for maintenance of the storm sewer system.
